”Dinosaurs may be extinct from the face of the planet, but they are alive and well in our imaginations.”

― Steve Miller

For the first time since 2019, Wandering Aesthetics will host two separate Summer CAMPs right in Downtown Akron! These summer camps are considered a week-long adventure into theatrical education.

Join Wandering Aesthetics’ Director of Education Kyle Jozsa and Teaching Artist Matt Dodds as they, alongside the young performers, explore the enthralling prehistoric world of dinosaurs. Using dramatic concepts, including imagination, character creation and teamwork, students will bring the “Jurassic Kingdom” to life, culminating in the development of their very own dino-filled performance.

This summer camp will introduce new students to the concepts of live performance while further developing these skills in more practiced performers. Each morning, in his engaging style, Jozsa will use games and exercises to teach students the fundamentals, (Stage picture, blocking, memorization, cues, etc.), along with some more advanced techniques, (Proper use of body & voice, awareness, character creation, etc.). Each afternoon, students will use what they’ve learned to craft a performance based on the theme of “Jurassic Kingdom”. The week will culminate in a final performance for friends and family.

Students should bring a water bottle & brown bag lunch.

Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

* There will be a final presentation held on the afternoon of Friday, June 28th.

The CAMP will be held at:
