The shadows of our past...
We've done a show or two. We'll never do them again.
Thanks for coming!
(Unless you missed them. Then – sorry!)
Motherhood is a beautiful thing, but do you really know your mother? While she was busy adoring you and taking care of your every need, she was also busy being a person– a wife, daughter, co-worker and friend… did you see all the balls she had in the air?
Get to know your mother at this storytelling performance.
Devised by: Brenda Cummins, Heather Burns, Amanda Kozma Adey & Charlene DeJournett
Following his thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail in 2013, Wandering Aesthetics' Co-Artistic Director Kyle Jozsa made his directorial debut with this family-friendly look at Grandma “Emma” Gatewood, the first female A.T. thru-hiker. Audiences joined Emma as she painted a picture of life on and off the 2,185.9-mile trail before the invention of cellphones or pocket stoves. People were amazed at her strength, perseverance and humor through times of struggle in EVERY walk of life.
